City Wide Garage Sale

YOUR TRASH COULD BE SOMEONE ELSE'S TREASURE!

We do not require garage sale permits within the city limits of Live Oak. If you would like to participate, please contact Jymie Perna at jperna@liveoaktx.net or 210-653-9143 opt. 8, no later than 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 to place your items and information on the City of Live Oak website and Facebook page.

WHAT INFORMATION ARE WE COLLECTING AND PUBLISHING?

  • Street address
  • Dates and hours your items will be available for sale
  • Main items you are selling

WHAT ABOUT GARAGE SALE SIGNS?

  • With neighbor's permission, in their yard
  • In your own yard
  • NOT in the city right of way
  • NOT against curbs
  • NOT against the street side of the sidewalk
  • All signs must be removed no later than 24 hours after your garage sale ends

WHAT ABOUT THE STUFF YOU DON'T SELL?

Bulk pick-up begins on Monday, April 7th, 2025. You can place your bulk items at the curb no sooner than Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, and no later than Sunday, April 6th, 2025. Citywide bulk pick-up can take up to TWO WEEKS to complete.

WM WILL PASS BY YOUR RESIDENCE ONCE

Do not cover the sidewalk or water meter with your bulk items, and do not block your items by parking vehicles in front of them.

EXAMPLES OF BULK ITEMS:

Chairs, sofas, mattresses, tables, empty water heaters, lawn furniture, appliances with Freon® removed, carpet (cut into 4 foot bundles), Sinks, toilets, AND MORE!

NOT ACCEPTABLE:

Televisions, computer monitors, refrigerators, window units, portable A/C units or anything else that contains freon, tires, vehicles, and parts, gasoline, oil, and filters, batteries, glass, construction debris from a contractor, concrete, brick, asphalt, and roofing, hazardous materials, or waste.

BRUSH REQUIREMENTS:

  • Branches and tree trimmings must be no greater than six inches (6") in diameter and be cut, tied, and bundled in four foot (4') lengths weighing no more than forty to fifty pounds (40-50 lbs.).
  • Leaves and lawn clippings are allowable if bagged and remain within the total monthly limit of six (6) cubic yards.

EXTRA BAGS OF TRASH:

Residents who have extra bags of trash must place a pink tag on each bag. To purchase pink tags, please visit City Hall or call Utility Billing at 210-653-9141.
